Why Study Hospitality Management
Hospitality is one of the world’s largest industries offering careers in a global field. Students gain an in-depth understanding of the industry by examining, developing, and applying hospitality management leadership skills.
Students will learn to navigate common business challenges, as well as business concepts to effectively lead teams within the hospitality industry. Career interests may include: Hotel management, restaurant operations, events and entertainment management, and tourism development.
All faculty in this program have a PhD and routinely publish in some of the top academic journals for hospitality management. All faculty in this program are Certified Hospitality Educators (CHE). Faculty have hospitality industry experience.
Faculty-led experiential opportunities provide student access to real-world connections and experiences within the field of Management. Experiences include: industry conferences, guest lectures from industry leaders, and community-based learning.
The College of Business provides funding and scholarship opportunities for students to participate in community events, conferences, and networking functions.
